Try YMCA Uplift

Uplift is a FREE 8 week active wellness program for people aged 12-24. It’s held at Penrith YMCA (1 Patty’s Place, Jamisontown) on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5.45pm.

The program uses a fun approach to physical activity and it has all sorts of benefits for those involved.

Like Isabella, most participants say that the program is so much more than just getting a bit more fit.

Uplift includes a group based physical fitness session that can be easily tailored to suit the experience and fitness levels of the participant. It doesn’t matter if you have never exercised before… OR if you are into regular sports, the degree of difficulty can be adjusted to suit your own needs.

After the exercise group, there is a short chat about nutrition, setting goals, and how to be mindful in everyday activities in order to reduce stress and stay on top of things: then finally,
for those who are keen, it’s time for a fun game to finish off the day.
